Sok Heang is a 50-year-old father from Cambodia who works as an electrician. He is married and has two sons and two daughters. During his free time, he enjoys gardening around his home.
Eight years ago, Sok Heang developed nasal polyps, noncancerous growths in the lining of the nasal passage. His condition causes him to experience headaches, difficulty breathing, and nasal congestion. He also has to breathe through his mouth due to nasal obstruction.
When Sok Heang learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one hour seeking treatment. On August 2nd, doctors will perform a nasal polypectomy to remove the polyps. This procedure will hopefully alleviate his symptoms and allow him to breathe more easily. Now, he and his family need help funding this $319 procedure.
Sok Heang says, “I am excited to have good health after surgery so I can sleep and breathe easily.”

Sok Heang underwent surgery to remove nasal polyps so he can breath easily again.
Sok Heang was hopeful that surgery would rid him of the frequent infections and be able to enjoy his life again. After surgery, he spent a night in the hospital and was able to return home the next day where he was able to rest at home. He has already noticed he’s able to breath better and he will be able to return to his job as an electrician within a few weeks. This will allow him to support his family and make sure his children stay in school.
Sok Heang said, “I was tired of spending money on medications that did not work. I am grateful to my friends who told me about CSC. I would like to thank the wonderful staff for the wonderful care and thank all of the people who helped me to pay for this surgery. My family and I are feeling very lucky.”
