Chisasa is a 78-year-old farmer from a village called Swaleyi in Malawi’s Central Region. He lives near his seven children and 14 grandchildren, who he spends time with often.
For the past five years, Chisasa has been experiencing symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate, including pain and frequent urination. The pain has made it difficult for him to participate in farming activities and fully enjoy time with his family and friends.
For $726, Chisasa will undergo a prostate resection to remove part of his prostate gland in order to ease him of pain and discomfort. This cost also includes his hospital stay and medication that he will be taking during and after his surgery.
Chisasa is feeling hopeful about his surgery and is excited to return to his daily routine!
