Fredrick is a 64-year-old small-scale farmer from Kenya. He is the father of five children, all of whom have left home and started their own families. It is his greatest joy when his grandchildren come to visit.
Fredrick has been fighting esophagus cancer for the past three years. He has undergone multiple chemotherapy sessions and diagnostic endoscopic procedures. While Fredrick developed a hernia in 2016, he had to prioritize his cancer treatments. The pain from the hernia has now intensified, causing Fredrick to seek hernia repair surgery as a source of relief for his condition.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $425 to fund Fredrick’s hernia repair surgery. The procedure is scheduled to take place on June 29 and, once completed, will hopefully allow Fredrick to live more comfortably and independently.
“I wish to get well. I have had a long journey to my health and I would like for it to end,” shares Fredrick.
