Meet Ian, a 16-year-old boy from Nairobi County. Ian is a friendly young man who used to play football until he encountered illness that changed his entire life. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis in second grade. He stopped going to school and started on anti-TB drugs.
Ian is currently unable to walk and uses a wheelchair. He needs surgery to help relieve pain and pressure on the spinal chord and the nerves on the lower back. Fortunately, a spinal fusion surgery has been scheduled for February 28. His mother needs help raising $1,500 to fund this procedure.
His mother, Nancy, says, “I am humbly requesting Cure and the people of goodwill like Watsi to help my son undergo for this surgery, so that he can rise on his feet, walk and continue with his normal life. That is my desire.”
