Meet KoemSan, a 13-year-old boy from Cambodia. He’s in sixth grade and enjoys playing football, watching TV, and playing games in his free time. KoemSan developed nasal polyps, soft growths on the lining of his nasal passage. He went to a private clinic, but his symptoms did not improve. As a result, he has difficulty breathing at night.
KoemSan’s parents heard about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from a relative. With his mother, KoemSan traveled for two hours by taxi to reach CSC for treatment on May 2. Surgeons will remove the nasal polyps to help KoemSan breathe easily again. To fund the treatment, CSC is requesting $224.
