Kamareembo is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with ten children.
28 years ago, Kamareembo began to experience troubling symptoms, including difficulty breathing and swallowing. She was diagnosed with a multinodular goiter. She needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Kamareembo receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on January 4 at our medical partner’s care center. Surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $240, and she and her family need help raising money.
Kamareembo says, “I will continue with farming as I don’t have any other alternative to care for my family.”
