Piseth is a 19-year-old housekeeper living in Cambodia with his three brothers. When he is not working he likes to hangout with his friends, play football, and read.
Two years ago, Piseth developed an infection in his left preauricular pit, a small hole or indent near the ear. Piseth underwent surgery in a private clinic in 2016, but his symptoms did not improve. Due to his condition, he experiences pus discharge, scarring, and swelling at the site of the pit. It is difficult for him to work due to the recurrent infections and the pain. Surgeons recommend that Piseth have the pit removed to prevent further infection.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $220 to fund Piseth’s surgery, which will be performed on July 11. Surgeons are hopeful that the surgery will allow Piseth to live comfortably without continued infections.
