Ivy is a 15-month-old baby girl from the Philippines. She lives with her parents who both work as laborers to support their family. Ivy loves to play with her rattle.
Ivy was recently diagnosed with malnutrition, a condition that results from consuming too few calories and nutrients. Beginning on July 6, Ivy will receive at-home treatment from our medical partner, International Care Ministries (ICM).
ICM’s Home-Based Feeding program will provide Ivy with nutrient enriched food packs to ensure she gains weight and achieves optimum physical and mental development. The program will also teach her family about proper nutrition, sanitation, hygiene and organic vegetable gardening. ICM is asking for $173 to cover the cost of Ivy’s care.
“I hope that my child will recover from malnutrition and become healthy,” says Ivy’s mother.
