Chetra is a 17-year-old monk from Cambodia. He is a member of a large family with two sisters and four brothers. He is currently learning to become a monk. He likes to stroll about the pagoda in his village. Chetra enjoys reading books and helping to clean and maintain the pagoda.
In 2016, Chetra developed a mass on the left side of his nose. The mass has continued to grow in size and has begun to cause complications. Chetra finds it difficult to breathe through his nose at night. This has greatly disrupted his sleep.
Surgeons from our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass to allow Chetra to breathe easily again. Chetra’s surgery is scheduled for April 21 and will cost $224.
Chetra looks forward to his procedure, which he hopes will alleviate his symptoms and improve his ability to sleep.
