Vy is an 18-year-old young man. He likes to play football, sing, and read books in his free time. Vy learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from his relative. He traveled for three hours with his aunt to reach CSC for treatment.
Vy developed an ear infection in his right ear when he was five years old. The infection spread and perforated the tympanic membrane in his ear. Vy experiences ear discharge, hearing loss, and tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ear). It is difficult for Vy to work.
On April 5, Vy will undergo surgery at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, CSC’s care center. Our medical partner, CSC, is requesting $423 to fund his treatment. ENT surgeons will perform a myringoplasty surgery on his right ear to repair the perforated tympanic membrane and stop the discharge. After recovery, Vy’s hearing will improve.
