Noah is a three-year-old boy who loves to play basketball with his friends and relatives. He lives in a small bamboo house with his parents and two siblings.
Noah is thin, irritable, and physically weak as a result of his malnutrition. Starting on June 27, Noah will receive nutrient enriched food packs to provide him with the necessary nutrients to promote mental and physical growth. Community volunteers will also make weekly visits to their home to monitor Noah’s progress, and a health professional will education Noah’s family about proper nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, and organic vegetable gardening.
The $173 requested by our medical partner, International Care Ministries, will cover Noah’s ongoing malnutrition treatment, including medication, supplies, and nutritionist supervision. Noah’s parents “hope that he can recover from malnutrition so he can grow up to be strong and healthy.”
