Meet Annet, a 28-year-old mother of two from Uganda. “Annet is scheduled for a C-section because her baby is in a horizontal position,” our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, explains, “Annet and her husband are excited to be expecting this third child.”
“Both Annet and Medard are subsistence farmers, and they grow rice, beans and corn,” the Kellermann Foundation continues, “They really appreciate the support because they can’t afford the C-section.”
$303 will cover the cost of Annet’s C-section and with it, Annet will have a safe delivery with the help of skilled nurses and doctors and complications that may arise during labor will be minimized.
“I am looking forward to going home and raising my children, taking them to school and growing enough food for them to eat. I want to thank everyone helping me with hospital bills, and the hospital for housing me,” Annet shares.
