Kay is a rice farmer from Cambodia. She has five brothers and two sisters. She likes to spend time with family.
Five years ago, Kay fell down and fractured her left elbow. She went to a doctor, and they treated her with Khmer traditional medicine. Then she came to our medical partner’s care center, and doctors fixated hardware to heal her fracture. Now, the hardware is causing her pain and needs to be removed.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On June 8, Kay will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will help her move her arm and elbow freely again.
She says, “I hope my elbow is better after the operation and I can move it without pain.”
