Kyal is an 11-month-old girl who lives in Thailand with her extended family.
When Kyal was born, her mother noticed a small mass between her nose and the corner of her eye. As Kyal grew, the mass began affecting her vision. Doctors have recommended that Kyal get a CT scan to determine the best course of treatment moving forward.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $693 to fund Kyal’s scan, which will be performed on June 5. Kyal’s mother wants her daughter to receive proper medical care so that she can grow up healthy and strong. She says, “I want to see Kyal is healthy and want her to go to school when she grows up.”

Kyal underwent a CT scan.
Results from Kyal’s CT scan helped doctors to diagnose her with frontoethmoidal encephalocele. This is a craniofacial abnormality which presents as a swelling over the bridge of the nose.
Kyal’s doctors are now putting together a surgical treatment plan, and hope to schedule Kyal in for surgery in early 2018.
“Thank you to all the donors for helping my daughter. I hope she will have a successful surgery and grow up healthy,” says Kyal’s mother.
