Ratha is a college student from Cambodia. He loves to play soccer and watch action movies.
When he was three years old, he accidentally put his hand in hot cooking oil. Ratha has developed burn scar contractures, making opening his hand difficult and limiting function.
When Ratha learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On September 6, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to restore function in his hand and help him keep up with his school work. Now, he needs help to fund this $448 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can use my hand after surgery.”
