Voeun is a construction worker from Cambodia. He has daughter and enjoys listening to old Cambodian music.
One year ago, Voeun developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision. He doesn’t feel safe riding his motorbike. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Voeun learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for 30 minutes seeking treatment. On September 7, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
His wife says, “I don’t want to worry about his vision loss anymore.”
