Srey Mom is a young Cambodian woman from a rural area near the Vietnamese border.
In April 2015, she had a motorbike accident and sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured tibia. Unfortunately, her leg has not healed properly, and she’s in chronic pain. Srey Mom is unable to walk and it’s difficult to work.
Surgery can help eliminate pain and improve function and mobility in her leg. On January 16, she will undergo an osteotomy to repair the fracture. Now, she needs help to raise $390 to fund this procedure.
She says, “I hope I can walk like before the accident.”

Srey Mom underwent fracture repair surgery.
Srey Mom’s surgery went well, and she’s been working with the physiotherapy team to improve the mobility and function in her leg. Surgery will allow Srey Mom to greatly improve her quality of life and allow her to walk and work without pain.
Her mother says, “I am happy to see that my daughter can walk normally again and without pain.”
