Akampamya is a baby from Uganda. He is the only child to his single parent mother. Akampamya’s mother depends on her parents who are small scale farmers and are barely able to provide for the family’s basic needs.
Since birth, Akampamya has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and if not treated, it may result in intestinal twisting or blocking. Fortunately, on September 03, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Akampamya’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Akampamya’s mother says “I pray that my child gets fine because he is in pain and I have nothing to do, am hoping to continue to raise him into an important person since the father denied him.”
