Edgar is a father of five and grandfather of ten from Malawi. He is a farmer who enjoys reading his Bible and praying.
For eight months, Edgar has been experiencing pain and urinary difficulty. These symptoms are caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostate resection surgery, a procedure in which surgeons will remove part of the enlarged gland.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund Edgar’s surgery. On November 6, he will undergo prostate surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and two weeks of hospital stay. Edgar is very happy to be receiving this surgery and looking forward to continuing his normal work as before.
He says, “I am thanking God for this procedure and that the program is able to continue helping a lot of patients.”
