Chorn is a 67-year-old man from Cambodia, with five daughters and 13 grandchildren! He has a mature cataract in his right eye.
“Chorn has very blurry vision that makes it hard for him to go out alone and he can’t really do good work at the farm,” our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) tells us. “He loves to go to the pagoda but can’t anymore without bothering someone to take him. He also likes to read but has had to stop because of his vision.”
$150 will fund cataract surgery to restore vision in Chorn’s right eye.
CSC continues, “He enjoys reading the newspaper and after surgery, he wants to spend more time with his grandchildren, go back to the farm to help support his family, and start reading books again.”
