Luch is a 38-year-old potato farmer from Cambodia. He lives in Kampong Thom province with his mother and two-year-old daughter. His wife lives and works in a factory a few hours away. In his free time, Luch likes checking his social media and watching the local news.
In October 2019, Luch was in a motorbike accident and fractured his left femur. He was rushed to a nearby emergency room, where doctors fixated hardware to heal the fracture. The fracture has healed, but the metalwork is uncomfortable, making it difficult to work and walk.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On May 8th, Luch will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which should help him feel comfortable and regain his strength and mobility. Luch is able to contribute $75 but needs your help to raise $229 more to fund the procedure.
Luch shared, “I hope I can feel better because it is difficult for me to lift a bag of potatoes on the farm with the pain in my leg.”
