Tumaini is a baby from Tanzania. She has a twin brother and an older sibling.
Tumaini has clubfoot of her right foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Tumaini traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on December 14. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $890 to fund Tumaini’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, she will be able to walk easily when she grows up.
Tumaini’s mother says, “With three babies to look after by myself with no stable job is not easy for me. Please help treat my daughter.”
