Kamugisha is a married father of five children who are all in school. He earns a living through practicing small-scale farming and at times works in other people’s farms to earn a living. His wife is a hospital cleaner at Nyakibale Hospital. Kamugisha lives in a single-roomed rental house in the village together with his wife and children.
Since three years ago, Kamugisha has had bilateral inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him lower abdominal pain and if not treated, may result in intestinal tissue damage or death Fortunately, on May 14th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $241 to fund Kamugisha’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Kamugisha says: “I hope to get healed from this condition after surgery so that I can have peace of mind because this condition has really given me a hard time.”
