Tek is a 59-year-old motorcycle driver from Cambodia. He has two daughters and three grandchildren, and he enjoys exercising, visiting the local pagoda, and taking care of his grandchildren.
Two years ago, Tek was is a motorcycle accident and fractured his left leg. He received initial treatment for his injuries at a hospital in Phnom Penh, where his leg was fixated with hardware to help his fracture heal. His fracture has now healed and he is able to walk again, but he now needs the hardware removed.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On February 27th, Tek will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $230. Surgery will allow him to walk and feel comfortable again.
“I hope that my surgery goes well so I won’t have anymore pain and my leg will get better without any other problems.”
