Jenifer is a 50-year-old farmer from Uganda. She is a married mother to nine children; three of her children are married and the rest are still in school. Her husband works in construction, while Jenifer farms for a living.
For four years, Jenifer has been experiencing lower abdominal pain, discharge, headaches, backaches, and dizziness. She has been diagnosed with a premalignant cervical lesion and abnormal uterine bleeding. Jenifer shared that her condition has prevented her from doing her normal activities, and she has visited the hospital several times hoping for help and healing.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Jenifer to receive treatment. On November 4th, she will undergo a hysterectomy, or a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus. Now, she needs help raising $219 to fund her procedure and care. Once recovered, Jenifer will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Jenifer shared, “I wish I could be relieved from this condition to gain back my strength for farming which is my main source of income.”
