Kim San is a 75-year-old vegetable seller from Cambodia. She enjoys listening to the monks pray on the radio and watching the news on television.
Two years ago, Kim San developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her blurry vision and irritation. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Kim San learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for half an hour seeking treatment. On November 18th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Kim San said, “I hope that after surgery, I will be able to see clearly again and I will be able to help my brother sell vegetables at the market.”
