Min is a two-month-old baby from Thailand. He lives with his parents.
Since birth, Min has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him pain. Fortunately, on January 22, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at Mae Sot General Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $1,500 to fund Min’s hernia repair surgery. The procedure is scheduled to take place on January 22 and, once completed, will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
Min’s mother says, “I am unable to put him down because he is crying so much.”

Min underwent hernia repair surgery.
Surgery was successful. Since his surgery, Min no longer cries constantly and is able to sleep peacefully without having to be constantly rocked in his parents’ arms.
“I have a big dream for my son,” said Min’s mother. “I want him to be educated and finish school. I don’t want him to have a difficult life. My other children go to a free Christian school were they teach them English, Thai and Burmese, and I want to send him there too. I want him to learn to write and speak and I hope he will be able to have an easier life.”
