Maurine is baby from Tanzania. Maurine is a three years old beautiful girl and very friendly. She is the last born child in a family born of three children. They are now being raised by their single mother, their father left home to go work in a different town as a casual laborer at a Chinese road construction company, and it’s was during this time that Maurine got into a fire accident.
It was late in 2017 when Maurine was left home with her older sister as their mother went out on her daily job of selling fish in order to support her children. Since it was a cold evening, Maurine’s older sister decided to boil some water so that all the siblings could have a hot bath. She had left the water boiling as she went out to call them. Maurine left her older sister out and ran into the house and by accident she tripped and knocked the boiling pot. She slipped and fell on the floor getting burnt on her left side from the shoulders to the legs. She has an open wound that is not healing.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Maurine receive treatment. On August 15, surgeons will perform a skin graft procedure to help cover her wound and help it heal. Now, Maurine needs help to fund this $711 procedure.
Maurine’s mother says, “My daughter’s post surgical wound is not healing despite all the dressing she has been going for please help get this surgery done am unable to afford it.”
