Nak is a 31-year-old noodle seller from Cambodia. In her free time, she enjoys watching television, cooking for her family, and teaching her two daughters how to read and write.
In January 2017, Nak was in a motorcycle accident that caused a fracture to her left leg. She received initial treatment at a referral hospital in the province, where she was fixed with hardware to help the fracture heal. Now, Nak experiences discomfort when she walks.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On December 13th, Nak will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will remove the hardware and help Nak walk easily again.
“I hope that I will no longer have any pain and can stand for a long time without any difficulty,” she shared.
