Katsika is a farmer who lives with his son from Malawi. He enjoys farming as both a livelihood and a hobby. He has eight children and lots of grandchildren.
Since August of this year, Katsika has been experiencing discomfort and failure to urinate. These symptoms are caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostate resection surgery, a procedure in which surgeons will remove part of the enlarged gland.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund Katsika’s surgery. On November 8, he will undergo prostate surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and two weeks of hospital stay. He aspires to return to farming as soon as he is fully recovered.
He says, “Thank you so much for assisting me to return to good health!”
