Seventeen-year-old Thar is a novice monk who has been living with a cardiac disease since he was born. Thar’s parents own a tea shop to help cover the family necessities, and his sister, who works in a sewing factory, sends money as often as she can to help support the family.

Thar’s mother is “very worried for his health and the costs of paying for his treatment.” She hopes for Thar to be healthy and strong like his peers.
