“Treatment of this kind with wires and implants cost a lot in the cities. And we cannot afford much as we do not have much savings,” says Anish’s brother.
Meet Anish, a seven-year-old boy from Nepal who has a fractured thumb. “Anish was playing football with his friends when he fell down and his hand hit a stone in the process. Anish is in a lot of pain and he cannot move his thumb,” says our medical partner, Possible.
Anish is part of a family of five. “His father is a bus conductor, and the earnings from the job are just enough to feed the family for the year,” continues Possible. Anish is in kindergarten and already has chosen English as his favorite subject because of the teacher’s grand stories.
For $205, we can heal Anish’s fractured thumb. “Anish will be relieved from the pain. He will be able to move his thumb normally without pain and will be able to perform regular activities,” says Possible. Anish will also be able to return to school to continue his love of learning English.
