Ah Phone is a 61-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his family in Shwetaw Village, Hpa-An Township, Karen State.
When Ah Phone was 27 years old, a branch hit him on the nose, which resulted in a nose bleed. Three months later, Ah Phone felt like something was blocking his nose. He could not breathe and had difficulty smelling. He noticed that in his right nostril, he could feel a small mass.
Since then, he has experienced difficulty breathing. He feels tightness in his nose and occasional pain.
Fortunately, Ah Phone finally sought treatment through our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. He is now scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on September 25. He is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Ah Phone says, “When I am fully recovered from this sickness, I will go back home and take care of my grandchild. I will also be working on planting some vegetables on my small garden since my children do not allow me to do heavy jobs.”
