Sok Nin is a second grade student from Cambodia. She likes to play with her toys, read books, and watch television.
At the age of two, Sok Nin started walking on her tiptoes. Two years later, her feet showed signs of deformity and she was not able to walk normally. She cannot walk on the balls of her foot, is unable to wear shoes, and can only walk a few yards at a time.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On October 02, Sok Nin will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. Surgery will help to position her ankles so that the frame will elongate the tendons in her foot so she can walk normally.
Sok Nin’s mother said, “I hope that my daughter will be able to walk normally and will no longer have any issues with her feet.”
