Rossette is a 35-year-old housewife from Uganda. Her husband works in a retail shop and supports his wife as she has not been able to find a job. During her free time, Rossette enjoys visiting her friends. Rossette is currently expecting her first child. She received antenatal care at Rushoroza Hospital, where her doctors recommended that she deliver via a Cesarean section because of breech presentation at term. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Rossette undergo a C-Section on March 1st. This procedure will cost $214 and Rossette needs your support. Rosette says, “I hope I will have a successful surgery with a positive outcome. After complete recovery, I will continue to search for a job. May God bless you.”

Priscillah is a happy 5-year-old from Kenya. She has a lively spirit and loves to play with her friends while at home and in school. Priscillah is the second born in a family of four kids. She came to the hospital with her father, who works in construction, and her mother is a homemaker. Four years ago, Priscillah was playing with her friends when she accidentally fell into a fire. She developed burn contracture on her left hand and fingers, which makes her unable to flex her fingers. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Priscillah receive treatment. On February 6th, surgeons at AMH's care center will perform a burn contracture release surgery. This surgery will allow Priscillah to be able to use her hands freely and will also boost her self-esteem as she plays with her friends and continues her education. AMH is requesting $840 to fund this procedure. Priscillah’s father shared: "I am looking forward to seeing my daughter fully recovered and using her hand like other children and continuing with her education fully. I will be very happy."

Evalyne is a 30-year-old mother from Uganda. After completing college, she pursued a course in tourism and hotel management, working in this industry until the Covid-19 pandemic. She now engages in small-scale farming to earn a living. Evalyne is married and has one child. Her husband sells soft drinks to support the family. Evalyne is expecting her second child and doctors recommend that she deliver via a Caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Evalyne undergo a C-section on April 18th, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. This procedure will cost $252 and Evalyne needs your support. Evalyne says: “I will be very privileged once I am considered for this surgery to deliver my baby well. I want to be able to resume farming after surgery.”
